Jesús Pagán: "El Sonero De La Mata" A Tropical Music Dynamo
Born in the artistic cauldron of New York to Puerto Rican parents, Jesús Pagán was destined for tropical music greatness. Honing his skills in Puerto Rico and the US Northeast, he swiftly ingratiated himself with salsa's most ardent fans.
The world's elite stages have been his realm - from Carnegie Hall with Gilberto Santa Rosa, to Colombia's massive Macarena Arena leading Orquesta Dicupé before 20,000 frenzied salseros. Locally, he's sold out theaters like Northampton's Academy of Music.
Pagán has shared bills with legends like Willie Colón, Milly Quezada and La India. His dedication earns him recognition like naming in "La Historia De La Salsa En Discusión" as a new era exponent.
2023 brought the honor of a Tito Puente Centennial tribute in San Juan. Now, Pagán releases his definitive hits collection, an eight-song embodiment of his infectious beats and eclecticism. He is a vocalist and bandleader ever striving for greater artistic heights.
